MERVIO
Privacy Policy

Who handles your information
Golden Path Agency operates Mervio in Québec, Canada. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or complaints, contact our privacy contact at simon@goldenpathmusic.com. When an artist or business uses Mervio to sell merchandise, it also handles the customer information associated with its sales.
Information we collect
Account information includes your email, display name, account credentials and team permissions. Merchandise operations include product images, inventory, shows, orders and business reports. Customer orders may include a name, email, phone number when available, purchased items, payment status and marketing preferences. Technical information can include IP addresses, request logs and browser information used to operate and secure the service.
Wallet checkout
Apple Pay or Google Pay may provide the contact details you supply through your wallet during checkout. Availability depends on your wallet and checkout settings. Mervio associates available details with your order so the seller can manage payment, pickup and customer service. Payment details are handled through Stripe; Mervio does not store full card numbers.
Why we use information
We use information to create accounts, manage permissions, process and reconcile orders, send operational messages, provide support and reports, protect the service and meet legal obligations. A merchandise purchase and a marketing subscription are separate purposes. Sellers must have a lawful basis for marketing and honor withdrawal requests. Contact the sending artist or business to stop its marketing messages, or contact us for help with preferences recorded in Mervio.
Who receives information
The selling artist or business and its authorized team can access the information needed for their work. Providers supporting Mervio include Cloudflare for hosting and storage, Stripe for payments and Resend for enabled transactional emails. Google Fonts receives browser requests when website fonts load. Venue searches may use Geoapify. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to address fraud or security incidents.
Cookies and browser storage
Backstage uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Browser storage remembers your language, team invitation, checkout station and access to an order. These support the features you request. You can clear or block storage in your browser, but sign-in and checkout features may stop working. The current website does not include advertising trackers or a marketing analytics script. Third-party payment services have their own privacy and cookie practices.
Storage, security and retention
Service providers may process information outside Québec or Canada, where other laws may apply. We use access controls and authenticated sessions to restrict access, but no system is risk-free. Retention depends on the information and its purpose, including operating your account, maintaining transaction records and resolving disputes or legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion or to ask about a particular record; deleting an artist from the interface does not necessarily erase every related transaction record.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access or correct your information, request deletion where applicable, withdraw consent for optional uses, or request an electronic copy where the law provides that right. We may verify your identity before acting. Some requests must be addressed with the selling artist or business, and legal retention duties can limit deletion. You may also contact Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information about your privacy rights or a complaint.
Updates and contact
Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. For questions about these practices or to exercise your rights, email simon@goldenpathmusic.com.
